NSC Beauty Student Wins Place at World Skills UK Final

Jasmine Kirkham, a Level 3 Spa student at North Shropshire College (NSC), will be representing the College at the World Skills UK final at the NEC Birmingham later this month. Jasmine was selected to go forward after the West Midlands regional heat, only ten candidates were chosen from across the country.

Sharon Cooper, head of the Commercial Services Department at NSC commented ‘the College is very proud of Jasmine’s accomplishment, this is the third time candidates from the Beauty Therapy department have been chosen to go through to the World Skills UK final, Jasmine and other students are supported by dedicated staff striving to maintain quality and standards within the profession.’

Sam Humphreys, Jasmine’s first beauty Therapy lecturer, commented on her success saying ‘I was absolutely delighted to receive the news that Jasmine had gone through to the World Skills UK finals. As a student she has made continuous effort to achieve high standards within the profession and this has obviously paid off.’
