Dudley College is delighted to have won two awards at the prestigious Black Country Chamber of Commerce awards dinner last night.
The college won the International Trade Award for demonstrating massive growth with a clear strategy and proven delivery. The judges were pleased to see a really wide business spread, with an impressive range of international business cultures that the college is working with as well as a clear and professional commitment to international development. The college’s success in exporting by increasing international sales, entering new markets and overcoming difficult trade barriers were fundamental in achieving this award. These developments have included the delivery of contracts in countries as diverse as India, South Africa and Saudi Arabia as well as expansion into new European markets.
Secondly, the Service Firm of the Year Award was awarded for clearly reinvesting in order to make the college a truly outstanding business. The judges were impressed by the college’s clear vision of where it wanted to be, supported by a clear delivery strategy. The judges recognised that this strategy has on many occasions turned opportunities and challenges into growth.
These awards come hot on the heels of Dudley College winning the New Skills Partnership of the Year Award, at the British Council’s Bringing the Learning Home event on Tuesday. This recognised the college’s support for Elangeni College in South Africa.
Vice Principal for Business Development, Sanjeev Ohri, said “We are delighted to have been honoured three times in one week for the work that we do both at home and overseas. The Black Country Chamber and British Council have made us very proud of what we have achieved for the local, national and international students that we serve”.
