The photography talents of the IT manager at City of Wolverhampton College have seen two of his pictures snapped up for an industry calendar.

Darren Webley, who is responsible for all of the college’s IT systems, entered a photography competition run by Compass Computer Consultants Ltd, the company that provides the organisation’s management information system.

The competition was open to staff at colleges across the country and Darren’s pictures of a sunset over Bromsgrove and a bumblebee in flight will feature in the company’s 2016 corporate calendar.

Darren, who has worked at the college for two-and-a-half years, said: “I took up photography to spend more time with my daughter who is studying it as a GCSE at school. When I saw some of the other competitors’ entries I didn’t think I stood much of a chance but I am delighted that Compass has chosen to use my pictures in next year’s calendar.”
