HoW College continues to be Outstanding!

Children and staff from HoW College’s nurseries Baby-Tec and Play-Tec

Heart of Worcestershire College is thrilled to announce that it’s two nurseries in Worcester have once again been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

The government education inspection body published its report earlier this week, scoring both Allington Play-Tec and Baby-Tec as outstanding in every aspect. The report highlighted the nursery staff stating: “The kind, attentive manager and staff spend time getting to know children and families and build trusting relationships with them. They are very receptive to children’s differing characters and reactions and work closely with parents to ensure children are soon very settled and confident at nursery.”

The news came to no surprise to parent Catherine Simpson whose son attends the nursery. Catherine commented:

“Congratulations to the nurseries on achieving Ofsted Outstanding yet again, this is a credit to the whole team. You are a delightful hidden pearl of outstanding childcare provision and my son delights in attending each session.”

Fellow parent Lauren Aubrey added:

“Baby-Tec and Allington Play- Tec are both brilliant nurseries that have helped, both me as a parent, and my children as well. The staff are really supportive and understanding and the children love to be there. I couldn’t ask for a better setting for my children”

The fantastic result rounds off an incredible year for the College nurseries as they celebrated Allington’s milestone 25th birthday in November.

Speaking about the ‘outstanding’ rating, Nursery Manager, Emma Lockwood, said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the result of this Ofsted inspection. It is a great testament to the excellent teamwork and dedicated staff at the both nurseries. This is Allington Play Tec’s third, and Baby Tec’s second ‘outstanding grade’ from Ofsted so we are all extremely proud that we have maintained the high quality childcare and education, which is something that myself and the team are all very passionate about. We would like to thank all our parents and families for their continued support throughout.”

Established in 1990, the College has been providing high quality childcare for over 25 years, offering full days, school days and half day sessions. The nurseries accept funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and childcare vouchers too!
