GEN UP ON COURSES AT COLLEGE OPEN EVENING

Young people due to leave school in the summer and unsure of their next steps, employees wanting to boost their promotion prospects, or those wanting to change direction and train for a new career, can find out about courses at City of Wolverhampton College at an open evening next week.

The college’s three main campuses – Paget Road in Compton, Wellington Road in Bilston and Metro One in the city centre – will be open on Wednesday 2 March, 4pm-7pm, to give people the chance to talk to tutors about the best routes into their chosen career.

Visitors will be able to get information on over 300 full and part-time qualifications, as well as university-level higher education programmes, bite-sized modules to boost professional skills, courses to improve English and maths, and an apprenticeship scheme enabling people to earn while they learn by combining working for an employer with studying at college.

During the open evening people can apply for their chosen course, have an interview with a member of the college’s admissions team and, subject to entry criteria, leave the event with an offer of a place to start their qualification later in the year.

To check which campus to visit for individual subjects visit www.wolvcoll.ac.uk/events/ or call 01902 836000.
