NSC Beauty Students Give Helping Hand at Hope House

Beauty Therapy students from North Shropshire College (NSC) have spent some time at Hope House Children’s Hospice. The students got involved with the ‘Day-to-Day Carers Group Pamper Evening’ treating the carers to a bit of well-deserved pampering.

Hope House is a local charity to NSC and one which the college has supported for many years. The charity offers a range of services, including respite and end of life care at their two hospices. Sharon Cooper, head of Commercial Services commented, “The students felt that the charity does such fantastic work in the local area, as well as nationally and the parents and carers work incredibly hard, that they all deserved a bit of ‘me time’. The students hold regular fundraising events, including cake sales and pamper events as they enjoy giving back to their community”.

Hope House marketing team commented, “For many of the families we support, caring for their child is a round-the-clock, full time job for parents and often it can be difficult to find time to take a break and recharge. So, Hope House mums, dads, brothers and sisters were delighted to be treated, pampered and totally relaxed by Beauty Therapy students and staff”.

There is still time to apply for full and part-time our Beauty Therapy qualifications, you can apply via our website www.nsc.ac.uk or you can call our Admissions Team on 01691 688080.
