As the academic year draws to a close, Shrewsbury College students have more than exam results to celebrate.

Through a variety of creative fund raising initiatives including theme-dinners, quiz nights and cross-college sports events, the students and staff have raised an impressive £8,837.

“It is critical to us that we focus outwards on the community and encourage our young learners to continually look for ways to help others”, explains Phil Castle, Student Events Ambassador.

“We are delighted that we have raised such an impressive sum which has gone to sixteen charities.  Next term we and Shrewsbury Sixth Form College have decided to focus on a small number of charities, with Shropshire Mind being amongst those selected”.
