An international student at Stratford-upon-Avon College is set for undergraduate success having excelled on the Stratford International Foundation Programme.  Muying Lin, 17, from Jiangmen, Guangdong Province in China, is due to enrol at Lancaster University in September to study Human Resources Management.

Muying’s exemplary attitude to learning impressed her lecturers so much she was awarded Outstanding International Student of the Year at this year’s College Student Awards Ceremony.

The International Foundation Programme prepares students from around the world for education at some of the UK’s leading universities.  The intensive course allows learners to specialise in a study area of their choice while acclimatising them to UK study practices and allowing them to improve their English.

Commenting on her time at the College, Muying said, “I studied the Stratford International Foundation Programme in Business Studies.  The course was instrumental in allowing me to improve my analytical skills, team work, essay writing, and English language skills.  I really enjoyed my time studying at the College over the last year and the student life was fantastic.  With the help of my excellent teachers, I have been well prepared to progress to university.”

The College’s International Business Development Officer Xiaoli Dutton is incredibly impressed by Muying’s determination and impressive academic results. “Muying has achieved Distinctions in every one of her subject areas.  She is a high achieving student with an excellent learning attitude. We’re so proud of her!”

The College looks forward to enrolling this year’s intake of Stratford International Foundation Programme students in September.
