People inspired by the Great British Bake Off can learn how to make delicious bread, pastries and cakes on a new course at City of Wolverhampton College.
The part-time Level 2 certificate in professional bakery teaches practical skills in mixing, processing and finishing a range of baked goods, as well as cake decoration and chocolate craft.
Students will train in the college’s industry-standard bakery at the Metro One campus in the city centre and also gain experience of selling their products in the popular on-site bakery shop.
Stuart Parlor, bakery tutor at the college, said: “Our bakery courses are always extremely popular however we are aware that not everyone can study on a full-time basis so we’re delighted to be able to offer the part-time course which will enable people to fit studying around their other commitments.”
The course runs on one-and-a-half days per week – for more details go to http://www.wolvcoll.ac.uk/courses/professional-bakery-skills-fdq-level-2-pt/
