Hockey with Heart

HoW College and Bromsgrove Hockey Club

Heart of Worcestershire College is continuing its support of local sports clubs by striking up a new sponsorship deal with Bromsgrove Hockey Club.

The sponsorship deal, which will continue for the 2016/17 hockey season, will see the College’s logo feature upon the junior coaches’ jackets and coaching bags. The two organisations are then planning to work together to offer further opportunities to students and to promote hockey in the local area.

Speaking about the partnership Nicki Williams, Vice Principal, at the College, said:

“We are extremely pleased to be able to partner with Bromsgrove Hockey Club and to support them with a sponsorship deal. As a college we are passionate about supporting and investing in young people. It’s fantastic to be supporting a club that share our beliefs and values and encourage young people to take up sport and live an active lifestyle.”

Alan Gormley, Business Sponsorship & Partnership Manager at Bromsgrove Hockey Club added:

“Bromsgrove Hockey Club are delighted to join Heart of Worcestershire college in partnership. We have many shared values and beliefs, in particular to give young people the opportunity to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle and to be active with the local community. That is why having HoW as named partner of our Junior Hockey Academy means so much to us.

Each week over two hundred youngsters come to our pitch to play hockey and many more youngsters come along to use the facilities to play football and other sports.

Our junior coaching staff are now kitted out with HoW branded jackets and coaching bags which have created much positive comment.

We see our partnership moving from strength to strength as it develops over the years. We would love there to be a college hockey team one day soon!”
