FREE TRAINING FOR EMPLOYEES AT CITY COLLEGE

Employers across the Black Country have the opportunity to upskill their workforce and gain the competitive edge through a series of free training courses this Spring.

In partnership with the Black Country Skills Factory, City of Wolverhampton College has launched a programme of fully funded bite sized training courses for local businesses.

The focussed workshops, which last between 2-3 hours, cover a range of topics, including Autocad, lean principles, Microsoft Excel, welding, vehicle maintenance and building technology.

Businesses are able to pick and chose from the courses on offer to suit their business needs.

Employer Responsive and Contracts Manager Graham Taylor said: “This work-base learning is a cost effective way for businesses to address their specific skills and become more efficient and more profitable – with minimal time lost to training.”

To be eligible, businesses must be based in the Black Country and be in the advanced manufacturing, transport technologies, construction, environmental technologies or business services sectors.
