Young people leaving school in the summer can sign-up for courses starting at City of Wolverhampton College in September at an open evening next week.
The college’s three main campuses – Paget Road in Compton, Wellington Road in Bilston and Metro One in the city centre – will be open on Wednesday 10 May, 4pm-7pm, for people to find out about courses in over 40 subjects, as well as combining earning and learning on an apprenticeship scheme.
Tutors will be on hand with information on full-time industry-recognised qualifications, a range of A Level courses, and university-level programmes – including HNCs, HNDs and foundation degrees – starting in the new academic year.
Visitors will also be able to chat to advisers about apprenticeships in business, construction, creative industries, engineering, hairdressing, health, hospitality, motor vehicle, science and teaching, and find out about apprenticeship vacancies with employers in the local area.
Those attending the event can apply for their chosen course online, have an interview with a member of the college’s admissions team and, subject to entry criteria, leave with an offer of a place to start their qualification in September.
