Evesham College is joining the British Heart Foundation mission to create a nation of lifesavers – people that are trained and ready to take action when someone has a cardiac arrest.
Nicola Jones, Public Services Lecturer applied to the British Heart Foundation for a Call Push Rescue (CPR) training kit to deliver across the college in tutorials and for those students completing the Duke of Edinburgh award.
Nicola said, “Students were absolutely fascinated and really enjoyed learning about CPR, child CPR, the recovery position and general first aid. The CPR kit was fully comprehensive with informative and engaging DVDs to guide students through the process.”
Nicola is organising with her students a ‘Go red for the British Heart Foundation’ on Wednesday 7 June at Evesham College where staff and students will be encouraged to wear the colour red and participate in fundraising activities for the charity.
